Model 1883 is the small, disc-free Xbox Series S. With no drive to fail, almost everything we repair on it is the HDMI port, the power supply or the storage.

Faults we repair on the 1883

• Damaged HDMI port. No picture, or sparkles and drop-outs.
• No power. Internal power supply or main board.
• System error on start-up. E-codes that return after a reset usually mean a storage fault.
• Overheating. Dust behind the round black vent.
• USB ports. Loose or dead.

Good to know about this model

Games live on the internal drive and in your Microsoft account. A reset removes them from the console but not from your account; they download again afterwards.
