The CUH-2000 series is the small, rounded PlayStation 4 Slim. It runs cooler than the original, so the faults lean towards ports, power and the hard drive.

• Where to find the number On the label on the back. The number starts CUH-20, CUH-21 or CUH-22.

Faults we repair on the CUH-2000

• Damaged HDMI port. No signal, or a picture that flickers when the cable moves.
• No power. Internal power supply or main board.
• "Cannot start the PS4". Usually a failing hard drive. We replace it and reinstall the system software.
• Disc drive faults. Discs not pulled in, not read, or not ejected.
• Overheating. Dust in the fan after years under a TV.

Good to know about this model

Game saves live on the hard drive unless you back them up to a USB stick or PS Plus. If the console still starts, do that before you bring it in.
