Nintendo 3DS and 2DS family (CTR-001, SPR-001, FTR-001, KTR-001, RED-001 and JAN-001) repair

These six codes cover the 3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS and the "New" versions. They are no longer made, and they are worth repairing: a working one now costs more than it did new.

• Where to find the number On the label on the back of the console: "MODEL NO." followed by the code.

Faults we repair on the CTR-001, SPR-001, FTR-001, KTR-001, RED-001 and JAN-001

• Circle Pad broken or drifting. Replaced.
• Cracked or loose hinge. On the folding models.
• Top screen blank or flickering. Usually the ribbon cable that runs through the hinge.
• Touch screen not responding. Bottom screen digitiser replaced.
• Not charging. Charging port or battery.
• L and R buttons not working. Shoulder button switches replaced.
