Mac repair by model number

Apple reuses names like "MacBook Air" for years, so the model number is the sure way to know which machine you have, and which faults to expect. Find the number, then pick your Mac from the list.

• Where to look Turn the Mac over. In small text near the hinge you will see "Model" followed by A and four digits, for example A2337.
• Cannot read it? Tell us the screen size, the colour and roughly when you bought it. That is usually enough.
