Steam Deck, LCD and OLED (1010 and 1030) repair

Models 1010 and 1030 are the two Steam Decks. Valve built them to be opened, which makes most repairs and upgrades straightforward.

• Where to find the number On the back of the case: "Model 1010" is the LCD Steam Deck, "Model 1030" the OLED.

Faults we repair on the 1010 and 1030

• Stick drift. The stick modules unplug and are replaced as units.
• Storage upgrade. A larger SSD fitted, with SteamOS reinstalled.
• Not charging. USB-C port or charging circuit.
• Cracked screen. LCD or OLED panel replaced.
• Fan noise. A whining or rattling fan replaced.
• Worn battery. Replaced when play time has dropped.

Before a storage upgrade, your game saves are safe if Steam Cloud is on. Games themselves download again from your library.
