Data recovery from memory cards and USB sticks
Wedding photos on an SD card, coursework on a USB stick: small devices, often holding the only copy.
What you need to know
- Deleted or formatted in the camera. Usually recoverable if the card has not been used since.
- "Card error" or asks to be formatted. Say no, and stop using it.
- Snapped or bent USB stick. The memory chip often survives and can be read directly.
- Not recognised at all. A controller fault; the chip is read with specialist equipment.
Price and booking
Data recovery starts from £79 + VAT for straightforward cases; physical damage costs more and is quoted after diagnosis. Take the card out of the camera and keep it safe. See also drive not recognised. Send an enquiry, or see the price list.
