MacBook Pro 16-inch, Intel (A2141) repair

Faults we repair on the A2141
- Overheating and loud fans. Dust-packed cooling and dried thermal paste; a clean and re-paste makes a large difference.
- No power. Faults around the T2 security chip or the power circuits, repaired at board level.
- Swollen battery. Lifts the trackpad and keyboard. Stop using it and bring it in.
- Crashes with an external monitor. The graphics chip working hard and hot; we test under load.
- Screen and backlight. Cracks, or a backlight that fails as the lid opens wider.
Good to know about this model
The T2 chip encrypts the built-in storage. If the logic board fails, the files can be recovered only by repairing that same board, so tell us if you need the data.
