Faults we repair on the A3404

• Cracked screen. Pressure on the lid or something shut inside it.
• Liquid damage. Stripped, cleaned and repaired at board level.
• USB-C port damage. It charges through its USB-C ports, so a bent or loose port stops it charging.
• Keyboard and trackpad. Dead keys or a trackpad that no longer clicks after a spill.
• Will not start after a drop. Battery connection or board damage, found on the bench.

Good to know about this model

The two USB-C ports are not the same: only one is fast and drives an external monitor. If a screen or drive does not work, try the other port before assuming a fault. A machine this recent is usually still under warranty, so check with the seller first.
