The 14th generation brought the Xeon Scalable processors, iDRAC 9 and, on many servers, a small BOSS card that the system boots from.

Faults we repair on the 14th generation
- Server will not boot: BOSS card. The pair of M.2 drives on the boot card fails more often than the main array.
- Memory errors. Correctable-error warnings that turn into a failed module.
- Failed power supply. Hot-swap supply replaced.
- Degraded RAID. PERC H330, H730P and H740P arrays rebuilt.
- iDRAC 9 faults. Unresponsive remote management, or failed firmware updates.
Good to know about this model
If the data drives are all healthy but the server will not start, suspect the BOSS card first. Your data array is usually untouched.
