Dell PowerEdge 13th generation repair
The 13th generation, led by the R730, is the PowerEdge that half the country still runs. Dell has stopped supporting it, so independent repair is now the way to keep one going.

Faults we repair on the 13th generation
- Failed power supply. After eight or more years of continuous running, the commonest fault.
- Degraded RAID and failed drives. Drive replaced and the PERC H330 or H730 array rebuilt.
- RAID controller battery. A worn cache battery switches the write cache off and the server slows down sharply.
- iDRAC 8 faults. Remote management that will not respond or cannot be updated.
- Memory errors. Faulty DDR4 modules replaced.
Good to know about this model
These are good candidates for an upgrade as well as a repair: more memory and SSDs are inexpensive for this generation.
