Dell OptiPlex repair
The OptiPlex is the standard office desktop: thousands of identical machines, built to be opened without tools. Most faults are fixed quickly and cheaply.

Faults we repair on the OptiPlex
- No power. Power supply or motherboard.
- Very slow. Older models with a hard drive are transformed by an SSD.
- Failed drive. Replaced, with your files moved across where they can be read.
- No picture. Graphics output, cable or monitor; we test all three.
- Loud fan. Dust in the cooler.
- Upgrades. More memory and storage.
Good to know about this model
When an OptiPlex finds a fault at start-up, its power button flashes amber and white in a pattern. Count the flashes of each colour: the pattern identifies the failed part.
Price and booking
A bench diagnostic is £54, deducted from the repair if you go ahead. You get the price before any work starts. Walk in Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, or send an enquiry to arrange a courier collection.
