ThinkSystem is the Lenovo server range that followed IBM System x in 2017. The rack models SR630 and SR650 and the ST550 tower are the ones we are asked about most, and we still repair the System x M5 servers that came before them.

Faults we repair on the ThinkSystem

• Failed power supply. Hot-swap supply replaced.
• Failed drive or degraded RAID. Drive replaced and the array rebuilt, with the data protected first.
• Memory errors. Faulty modules replaced.
• Will not start. System board, processor or memory.
• XClarity Controller faults. Remote management not responding, or firmware damaged.
• Fan failure. Fans replaced.

Good to know about this model

A yellow system-error light on the front means a fault has been logged. XClarity Controller lists it; a photo of that screen is the most useful thing you can send us.
