Lenovo ThinkSystem, first generation repair

The first ThinkSystem servers replaced System x in 2017 and introduced the XClarity Controller. The SR650 is the one found in most racks.

• Failed drive or degraded RAID. On the RAID 530 and 930 adapters.
• Failed power supply. Replaced.
• Memory errors. Faulty modules replaced.
• XClarity Controller faults. Remote management or firmware.
• System board faults. Will not start, or stops during start-up.

Good to know about this model

The model number alone is not enough: the four-character machine type on the pull-out tab decides which parts fit.
