Lenovo System x M5 repair
System x M5 is the last generation designed by IBM and the first sold by Lenovo. It came before the ThinkSystem name, and plenty are still working.

- How to tell The model is on the front: "System x3650 M5". Some carry an IBM badge, some a Lenovo one.
Faults we repair on the System x M5
- Failed power supply. Replaced.
- Failed drive or degraded ServeRAID array. Drive replaced, array rebuilt.
- RAID cache module faults. The flash or capacitor module on the ServeRAID card.
- IMM2 remote management faults. Unresponsive, or failed firmware.
- Memory errors. Faulty modules replaced.
Good to know about this model
The pull-out "light path" panel on the front lights an LED beside the name of the failed part. A photo of it saves a visit.
