MacBook logic board repair

The logic board is the MacBook: processor, memory and storage are all soldered to it. When it fails, the usual offer elsewhere is a new board at most of the price of a new Mac.

What you need to know

• Component-level repair. We find the failed chip or shorted part under the microscope and replace that.
• Liquid damage. Corrosion cleaned and the damaged parts replaced.
• No power and no charge. The most common board fault, and usually repairable.
• Your data. Because the storage is on the board, repairing the board is also how the files are saved.
