Data recovery from RAID arrays and NAS units
A RAID survives one failed drive, and then people replace the wrong one, or a second fails during the rebuild. That is when a NAS or server stops being a safety net.
What you need to know
- Stop and label. Switch off, number the drives in the order they sit, and do not swap them round.
- Do not force a rebuild. A rebuild on a second failing drive can destroy what was recoverable.
- What we do. Copy every drive first, then rebuild the array from the copies.
- What we work on. Synology, QNAP and other NAS units, and server arrays.
Price and booking
Data recovery starts from £79 + VAT for straightforward cases; physical damage costs more and is quoted after diagnosis. See Synology and QNAP recovery, and servers by model. Send an enquiry, or see the price list.
